WhatsApp & Meta Acceptable Use
Last updated: 27 June 2026
BM CRM integrates with the WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta’s WhatsApp Business API) and Meta (Facebook & Instagram). To keep your account and phone numbers in good standing, all messaging through BM CRM must follow the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy, the WhatsApp Commerce Policy, and Meta Platform Terms — in addition to these rules.
Consent & opt-in
- Only message people who have given a valid opt-in to be contacted on WhatsApp by your business.
- Make it clear who you are and what they’re opting into.
- Always honor opt-outs. BM CRM automatically detects common stop keywords and opts contacts out.
The 24-hour window & templates
Outside the 24-hour customer-service window, business-initiated messages must use pre-approved message templates. BM CRM helps you create and submit templates for Meta’s approval and only sends what the platform allows.
No spam or prohibited content
- No unsolicited bulk messaging, spam, or harassment.
- No content prohibited by WhatsApp/Meta policies (illegal goods, prohibited industries, deceptive content, etc.).
Data & advertising
Lead and message data obtained through Meta APIs is used only to provide the features you enable, in line with our Privacy Policy. Where enabled, qualified-lead signals may be sent to Meta’s Conversions API to improve ad performance.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the messages sent from your account, including AI-assisted messages, and for complying with all applicable laws and platform policies. Violations can lead to template rejections, number restrictions, or account action by Meta — which are outside BM CRM’s control.
